THE TIME
The event will take place on Sunday 27th June. Open to the public at 1.00 am On the day and the exhibition will set up at 12.00 am. Exhibitors will be able to set-up from 11.45am till 12.00 on the day. No exhibitors will be admitted under any circumstances whatsoever after 1.00 am. Please note that you cannot pack before the end of the show, as you may appreciate it would not add to our professionalism if stands were dismantled before the public leaves.

PARKING
There is parking in the park .

At the end of the event there will be no vehicle movement on site before 6.45pm or until it is safe to do as directed by the security.

THEME
The theme of our event is GREEN :we are urging all stall holders to bear the theme in mind. This audience will not appreciate animal skin.

THE SHOW
The Greenfayre. We will have few traders, drum workshop and another surprise workshop in attendance, which will include some artists on stage. It is a family event.

FOOD
Stall holders selling food are required to provide copy of their certificate before the day of the event and on the day for inspection by the council. You must provide foam extinguisher and a first aid kit. It is also imperative to separate the barbeque stand with barriers.

Please ensure that you have adequate insurance in place for all goods, equipment and people belonging to your company, as this is your responsibility.

You will be operating within a stall size . All stands are allocated on a first come first serve basis on the payment of a deposit.

No stand can be reserved in advance without your full deposit* You must book the appropriate size stand you require, as no additional space will be available on the day.

African Showcase Market Festival in Barking - August 2010

Featuring at all of these outdoor events, are talents from across the latitudes and longitudes of the colourful continent of Africa. We promise to have on display artefacts, food, music, and of course dance

The African Showcase Market is aimed at people from all walks of life; Adults and children alike, so there is always something for each person to leave with. Notably, there will be live performances by very talented artistes, a special workshop from a great choreographer, drumming session,head-wrap sessions, clay-moulding sessions and other special features in over 30 stalls all displaying authentic African products within our 2008 entourage. Be sure to be part of the fun-filled event. We look forward to your valued participation.

Each year, the AFRICANSHOWCASE MARKET grows from strength to strength and this year is no different – we currently have 208 traders registered with us. Part of the reason for this growth has been the ‘word-of-mouth’ recommendations from existing traders. I would like to thank you for this and encourage you to carry on doing such so that we can get bigger and better.

Over 20 stalls showcasing African authentic produce, drums, textiles, unusual jewellery, from Ghana, senegal, and Nigeria, acrobats, food, fashion, music and more are descending in Watford Town Centre this spring.

Africanshowcase is a market showcasing the music and arts of Africa with fantastic workshops , paintings, artefacts and stunning handmade African jewellery on display.

For one day audience/shoppers/ community will be treated to a procession of acrobat and dancers, a head wrap workshop for everyone by Ola and some of the traders will give out free goodies.

Daventry is set to light up the skies as the popular European phenomenon of Light Night comes to the town centre on 26th and 27th March 2010, with two evenings packed full of free late-night cultural entertainment.

The highlight of the weekend will be the spectacular outdoor interactive light show on Market Square where people and light interact as if by magic.

A stage in High Street will present live music and performances from 6pm,. Other entertainment, including light trails, Acrobats, African drummers, fire juggling and street performances will be on offer throughout the town centre, with bars and restaurants contributing their own live entertainment.

On Friday evening there will be a Soundbox event in the ‘Spider Park’ on the Headlands specifically organised by and for young people in the town

Daventry Town Museum and the Library will also be open late allowing visitors to discover the towns history, artefacts and other treasures.

The whole event will conclude with a stunning light display in Market Square at 22:45 on Saturday 27th March 2010.

The aim of the event is to open cultural and other venues late into the evening, to present unusual and unexpected events and to turn the whole town centre into an open space celebrating the culture of the town.
